Numbers

The Lab

We publish our numbers so you can hold us to them. They come from three YouTube channels we own and run, read on Oct 2, 2026, and they include what did not work.

Every figure on this page has five parts: the value, the metric, the window, the as-of date and the source. If a part is missing, the number is not here. The method comes first, then the scoreboard, one block per channel, then the misses.

These are channels and systems we own and run. They are not client results and are not a forecast of yours.

Method

How we count, and what we leave out.

The scoreboard

Three channels. Three windows. No totals.

Each block stands alone, with its own window.

A personal, build-in-public channel, shown for completeness and not as marketing work. Its stream entries are counted on their own and left out of the other four figures.

Of the 22 public stream entries in the window, 6 still play back and 16 do not (checked Oct 3, 2026). YouTube lists all of them as public videos with their full duration. Window Aug 15 – Oct 2, 2026. Source: each entry’s public watch page, opened once.

Carousel Studios & Lab

Fifty videos, in order.

Every public video in the Carousel window gets one bar, oldest on the left. Nothing is cut off at the bottom, because the axis starts at zero.

Views are lifetime views at that time, so the newest bars have had the least time to grow. Source: YouTube Data API read via our own tooling.

4 of the 50 videos got fewer than one hundred views.

Lifetime

The long view, with its caveat.

Lifetime figures count every public upload since each channel joined. We show them so the scoreboard is not all you see, and we never lead with them.

YouTube rounds subscriber counts above one thousand. None of the three channels is there yet, so subscribers are shown as read. Lifetime figures cover a different, longer span than the windows, so they never lead.

Misses

Four misses, in plain numbers.

A scoreboard with only hits is advertising. These four come from the same reads as everything above, and none of them is softened.

Reading it

What this does and does not prove.

It shows

The production methods we sell run in public, on channels we operate, and we print the result whether it flatters us or not.

It does not show

What the same work would do for your brand: these are our channels, our topics and our audiences, not client results and not a forecast of yours.

It leaves out

Watch time, retention and revenue. A number we cannot date does not ship.

Snapshot policy

These figures are a dated snapshot. We refresh them by hand at least every 30 days, because YouTube’s API terms allow such data to be kept for 30 days before it must be refreshed or removed. The first refresh is due Nov 1, 2026.

What we cannot show yet: change over time. This is our first dated snapshot. Each refresh adds a row to the log below, so the next one shows the first change.
